Hi,
I would like to pose 2 questions in one post!

1.
On occasion I have the need to increase the volume
Of films due to my hearing loss!
I look to increase the volume without introducing distortion.
I look for the best settings to keep clarity and increase volume.
I change the Audio Out to AAC (FDK)
I Configure to Profile LC ... Bitrate 192... Afterburner on
Filters are Remix on... Mixer: Stereo or 5.1.... Gain Mode Manual (dB)
Gain Value :7. This can vary, all depends on the original volume.
My question is:
Am I using the best settings?
Can I Improve on these settings?

2.
Is it possible to listen to the changes I make to the volume in real time?
To clarify this, I mean:
having the video running and I can listen to it as I turn the volume up or down?
When I am happy with the results, I hit the save button.
Thanks.

1) i prefer Gain mode: Automatic
2) no, it is not possible

2) It's possible, but not in Avidemux.

1) Replaygain normalization with foobar2K would be my preferred approach, it doesn't require re-encoding.
It applies a variable Gain to achieve the desired perceived loudness (set the reference level in preferences).

Thanks for the info Guys.
VideoProc can do both the volume and brightness in real time.
But there is NO fine control over either functions.
I do NOT like the finished output.
ow yes ! And it's too slow.
P:S maybe this could be a feature added to Avidemux?
It would enhance it from my point of view.
