Hello, when I have mpeg4 avc x264 set up, my CPU temperature jumps to 66 degrees during the process.
Normally, when testing the processor maximum load, the temperature does not exceed 56 degrees.
Why does this program do that?
My processor is 11600k .
With 9600k, I did not have such a problem.

Compensating for insufficient cooling solutions is out of scope for Avidemux.

However, you could check whether you waste energy by not using hardware accelerated decoding of HEVC and H.264. By disabling multi-threading in the configuration of the particular encoder plugin, you could probably trade speed and efficiency for reduced load.

11600K would typically be expected to run hotter under load than 9600K, with higher performance.

A cpu temp of 66 degrees under load is not a problem.

in this case it could also be something to do with avx512 (11600K has it, 9600K only has avx2).
Avx accelerated workloads (encoding) run hotter than typical loads.
