Date and time of original movie clip save at result

Is it possible to keep the date and time of the original video clip and pass it to the result clip?
So when shortening a file and when i save the result, it keeps the date and time of the original?
I have many .mov files oredered by date, when i edit one the result gets the date dante time of now. So sorting by date will be a problem.
