Hi Mac users,

A new 2.5.3 svn build. This is an intel only build and should run on Leopard and Snow Leopard.

You can find it on my website

Note that these build contains a number of bugfixes and it contains the new OpenGL video output option.
Select Tools->Preferences->Video and set to Qt (OpenGL). It works much better than the current video vie options.

Edit: Please give your feedback whether it works for you on Leopard or Snow Leopard and which issues you encounter

Hi,

A few days, I switched from Avidemux 2.5.2 to 2.5.3 and I am noticing something odd : When I encode a long video using MPEG-2 (mpeg2enc), it gets split in files of 4096 MB. Personally, I want a single file, as I use double-layer DVDs. In the configuration dialog of MPEG-2 (mpeg2enc), there is a New sequence every (MB) value, but Avidemux 2.5.2 ignored it apparently. Can 2.5.3 ignore it too, or at least, can I specify a greater value ? The spin edit won\'t allow me to enter a number greater than 4096.

Is there anything that can or should be done?  Preference changes, os changes, anything?

Not sure if 2.5.3 is supposed to be playable out of the box, but I can't get playback on my videos - although they're there, I can scrub through them.  And copy / paste function don't work.  That's all I've tried to do so far.

This thread probably needs deleting as the links which are the whole purpose of the thread no longer work.
