View / Zoom 2:1 not working during playback

Load a small video and select View / Zoom 2:1 (or press 1);
press play: during playback, it shrinks back again, so it's impossible to play a video at 2x zoom.

This is true with other zoom rates as well.

I started to see this at ver. 2.6.1. and is still there at 2.6.5.
it was not an issue back at 2.5.4.
