Not editing whole video ?? Only a quarter of the picture is shown

Maybe I messed up the controls or options

But only the top quarter of the video is showing when I drag it in

I tried uninstalling and re installing but same problem

How do I make it so it shows the whole picture ??

Menu View / Zoom 1:2 or Zoom 1:4

I had to convert the video to wmv

instead of dragging it in,    click open from the file menu, - don't know why that helps but it does

use YV12 raw

use MP3

convert to AVI

After opening/editing? And something more common (AVI/MPEG-4 ASP/MP3) wouldn't work?

I assume your input file (you never mentioned the format/encoding) is kind of special, so maybe Avisynth input (using AVS Proxy inside Avidemux) would do the job.

I think he was just reporting a bad drag-n-drop experience.  I would agree that File-->Open is the safest.
