1080p x264 ----> 720 Xvid Problem

I'm new to AVIdemux and what i'm trying to do is make a conversion of 1080p x264 to 720p xvid brrip.
I've tried a lot of settings, but i don't know very well how works the configuration.. The results are not very good.
I would like opinions to made changes on the settings to achieve a good quality rip. thanks to all.
