version number in git commit info

This is only a suggestion.

Like many others, I pull from the git archive to compile avidemux 2.6.

Would it be possible to include the commit version number from the svn repo in the git commit message?

Currently I compare

and

Code Select Expand


git log


to determine the r#### number before I compile.

As I said, it's not important. But if it could be easily done, it would be nice to have.
