Can I use Avidemus on my iPad2 or iPad3?
I've been trying , unsuccessfully I might add, to download YouTube videos so I can watch them offline.
Any suggestions?

Probably not directly on iPad. On PC (linux, osx or windows) you could use avidemux to edit/convert video to play on iPad.

No, there is no iOS version. And Avidemux is not a video player but a video editor and converter.

Just download the MP4 version (not the FLV one) of the video. The MP4 format is supported on the iPad.
