saving video problem h264

i've done a project in 2.6 considering that this software was kind of stable, but when exporting my cutted video (h264 + aac) it crashes at the same point every time and the application just remain stuck and I am forced to close it from task manager.
How can I solve this problem or maybe convert the project to a 2.5.x one?

What output container are you using ?
The most likely to be stuck is avi, you might want to try exporting to mkv, reload the mkv and save as avi (worth a try)

You don't tell relevant in formation: used OS, used container, how did you edit, what did you edit. ...
Concept difference:
2.5 branch = frame editing
2.6 branch = time editing
