In past few days i visiting forum, but nobody crashes reported for.So i thing, crashes that i have, occurs only to me again, but nevertheless i will tell about them.
First, when i call Preferences from main menu, i get that:

And more: when i trying to open MP4 or Matroska (H264 Codec) file, Avidemux immediately closing down. No backtrace returned.So i repack mp4 file to avi and then got this:

Are you running avidemux QT or GTK? Find in ~/avidemux6 config2 and jobs.sql and delete these. Start avidemux again and set preferences according to your system. If still posing issues try another display setting. Avoid opengl as display.
Could you upload small sample of video posing problem: 20 MB or 5 seconds in duration, to mega or rapidshare and provide a publicly available link to it without a requiring registration to that service.
Could try the video here on ubuntu 12.04 with nvidia GT-520 display (vdpau) and report back to you.

Yep, still the same.I forgot to say the X264 video problem exist only if ââ,¬Å¾libvaââ,¬Å" is enabled.The menu problem still persist.That what i remember, in rev. 8774 this problem (Preferences menu) has no exists.

P.S: I forgot also to say, you no need to focusing to libva problem (i think), because i have stupid two video cards system and that may be causing the problem.

Videocards are: Integrated Intel(i915) + GeForce GT 525M (GF108)

@mean, i again wait bit of time and it seems in normal computers everything it's alright.In fact i can't do anything with libva, excluding of playing video.I have no idea, what kind of information to give you, but this is an example what's happen when i set SWresize filter and i trying to see preview:

Thank you mean, but i think my problems comes from libva-vdpau-driver, which do not works properly or more precisely completely don't works.So i'm afraid that my issues can be misleading. I think i need to rebuild some libraries (mesa for example).....

Kind a like nightvision?
Only happening here with SDtv mpeg-ts on libva nvidia, HD shows fine, vdpau shows correct.

SD and HD load with lavcodec. After indexing:
- SD does not switch to libva decoder and stays lavcodec announced
- HD does switch to libva.

Except in the US, nobody is using mpeg2 for HD, and mpeg2 for SD is cheap in software
