No audio in 2.6.4

I just installed Avidemux 2.6.4 for Linux. I'm running Crunchbang 11 which is Debian based.

For some reason, ther is no audio at all when I open up any video file. No audio only in Avidemux. Plays properly in VLC Player for example. How can I get the audio to work in Avidemux 2.6.4?

Do you have pulse audio running ?
If so, select pulse as audio device

Thanks. Let me try that. I do have Pulse Audio. Where do I make the change you mention in your post?

All I see under Audio Device is dummy. What am I missing? Do I have to install something?
