scripting object reference

I am on the steep part of the learning curve trying to get going with scripting in this awesome tool.

I searched and can not find a reference document that lists the objects, their methods and their properties.

I found in a post the _correct_ way to know the frame count is to app.video.frameCount. Where did ykmgt find _that_? I can not find that anywhere in documentation, and so, I suspect that there are many things the help wiki is not telling me about scripting.

Can someone help? Thanks!

(PS:I already tried 2.6.x, that is not yet ready for scripting it seems...)
