Was exactly is the difference between the MP4 Muxer and the MP4v2 Muxer?

The reason why I am asking is that on my new Panasonic TV the mp4 videos does not work when muxed with MP4v2 (Muxing with r9014 on Win64). They work fine with MP4. I am using the same NAS and the same DLNA Server for both. Imagine how long it took me to find out why they did not play ;)

Grobe

"MP4 Muxer" cannot save audio in AC3 format.

Mp3 v1 still causes errors in Avidemux 2.6.8 with some files ("File too short" message or even losts parts without alert), but Mp3v2 -seems- less buggy.

It's better to rename MP4v2 to MP4, and rename MP4 to "MP4 Part 1"?

To the layman, "MP4 Part 1" looks wrong, incomplete, and outdated, hence they would chose MP4 (which is MP4v2), and get less bugs, and praise avidemux.

With the current naming, laymen would think "Oh,  I should select the first once because it is listed first, and they have a second version encoder but didn't dump the first one, means the second must be experiment stage", hence they choose MP4v1 and got bugs and errors on AC3, and may blame it on avidemux.
