No sound to give play in video

I use the version 2.6.10, and does not know what happened, to give play any video for me to synchronize audio, no sound, I tried to install more recent versions and install new codecs packs and will not appear more sound in videos, has anyone had this problem?

you did not state your used OS and version?
Check avidemux menu: Edit -> Preferences:
[Audio]
Local playback downmixing: Stereo or other option that suites you.
AudioDevice: anything other then Dummy

see if that helps.

thank you, with your answer could solve the problem, I changed the audio device option dummy for win32 and it worked
