Should I uninstall before update to 2.6.10?

Hi, I use v2.6.8 (64 bit) on windows 7, and it works very well for what i need (great program!). But maybe I should update to the latest version, 2.6.10.  But as far as I can see it's not possible to update via the GUI.

Do you recommend just downloading the new version over the old, or should I uninstall 2.6.8 before dowloading 2.6.10?

If I should unistall first, is it enough to unistall via Programs and features/Uninstall, or should I use the "uninstall.exe" file in the Avidemux folder?

you can just update, no need to deinstall
