use shortcuts while playing

Now, you must play video, stop video, use shortcut markers, play again and so on.
I would like to be able to use shortcuts while playing video. Similar to virtualdub behaviour.
It should be a great improvement in the use of this already beautiful program.

Could we hope to get this?
