Hi,

I've just got myself a new 360 degree camera and currently software that can edit and render it at the correct resolution (2048x1024) is limited. However, Avidemux seems to be up to the job!

My problem is the audio. The audio is fine if I play it on standard players, but as soon as I bring it into Avidemux the sound comes and goes at a frequency of about 2 hz. You can hear it for yourself on this video (where I crash off my bike!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8abtVqwlKNc.

I'm editing this on Windows 10. In the preferences menu I only have Win32 as an option for sound. Any ideas if I can solve this?

Can you upload an original + avidemux causing above issue? We don't have a point of reference: just a lot of noise
sample recording (10 seconds) would do (50 to 100 MB max.)
ps:- Use a free dropbox account, mega or similar webservice (free public access, without registration to download your uploaded video) thank you.

When you use Audio Output [Copy] avidemux is keeping the audio track as it is.

Is this the cam: http://support.360.tv/customer/en/portal/articles/2433383-microphones-sound

All I can hear or see is : "the sound is distorted, overdriven"

Hi. No problem sharing as I already have a paid for Dropbox account. You should find two video files here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/pjojtrqs3nk1x1z/AAD0xXQbriZt7g1yL73xv2Y8a?dl=0

Yes I was wanting to keep the audio as it is, although I am converting it to MP4v2.

Yes it is the Giroptic 360cam.

Many thanks.

OK, what is happening MP4v2 is halving the audio playtime, primarily testing.
MP4 muxer is working OK, use this for now.
Developer(s) please have a look at this.

Ah, that's interesting. Thanks. When I play the video in Avidemixer the sound still sounds wrong with MP4Muxer set, however, when it is rendered it is fine.

Many thanks.

avidemux is not intended as mediaplayer. would advise to use VLC as videoplayer.
Perhaps pre-process audio track in audacity (like resample to 44100 Hz)
- Edit audio track by exporting (drag & drop onto:) in to audacity (windows requires audacity FFmpeg import/export library, found on Optional Downloads) and save to the required format.

Indeed. I generally use VLC. The fact that the audio didn't sound right when playing the video, meant I thought the issue with the sound was at the front end and not at the rendering stage.

Thanks again.
