newbie - best site to download official version Windows 32 Avidemux

Hi All,

I'm a newbie not only to Avidemux but to any video editing.

I edited one small file (20 seconds) in XP Windows Movie Maker one time - that's the dept and breadth of my training, experience and possibly video talent!

I found a 32 bit Version of Avidemux for Windows here...

...but I'm trying my best to get off to a good start with Avidemux by downloading the best version at the "official" or best site.

Is that the correct site for the official version for 32 bit for Windows 7?

old videoformats do perform sometimes better with 2.5.6 (SD TV or early HDTV in older stream formats dvb-S(sat)/T(terrestrial)/C(cable)1
dvb-S(sat)/T(terrestrial)/C(cable)2 is recommended to work with avidemux 2.6 branch
