No sound, when playing any video...

I'm using win7-64, with the latest 64bit version of ad.
Very simply, when I play any video, no matter which format of audio or video... I can't hear it. I can play a video on any player... no problems.
I've tried it with the mute button in, or out. Toggled audio everywhere I've seen it.
Tried reinstalling.
This started after the latest update... I feel like I'm going crazy, since I've been using ad since it was first developed.
Any help would be appreciated... thanks!
