I have a set of mpg files, from camcorder, made by Roxio Easy VHS to DVD v3 (   http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/easy-vhs-to-dvd/standard/overview.html  )

I am using w10.

The properties of the file as per Avidemux are:

=====================================================
Video
=====================================================
Codec 4CC:      MPEG
Image Size:      720 x 480
Aspect Ratio:      NTSC 4:3 (8:9)
Frame Rate:      29.970 fps
Total Duration:      00:16:17.189

=====================================================
Extra Video Properties
=====================================================
ExtraDataSize:      00

=====================================================
Audio
=====================================================
Codec:         MP2
Channels:      Stereo
Bitrate:      28000 Bps / 224 kbps
Frequency:      48000 Hz
Total Duration:      00:16:16.437

The mpg files contain multiple events, so I want to split the files.

For now (unless there is a reason not to) I want to just split and copy, no encoding.

I have Avidemux set to copy. See attached screen shot.

However when I file ---> save....the file type is set to AVI.

I don't see a selection in the Output Format that provides a save type as .mpg .......

I am sure it is something I am doing wrong.......

Thanks........
