Resizer makes colors dull

Resizing videos to anything below 576p causes the colors to look alot darker than the original source. Tried doing it in handbrake and there downscaling content doesn't mess up the colours. Any idea what causes it / how to fix it?

Do you see this happening with the latest nightly? If yes, please provide a sample (short, if possible) of the unfiltered source, <edit>the project script file in order to see the filter settings</edit> and the output via WeTransfer, Mega, Dropbox or Google Drive. I definitely cannot reproduce such a behaviour with my builds. Lanczos-3 seems to increase perceptible contrast a little bit compared to the default Bicubic, but nothing near colors looking any different than the source.
