Joining Video problem

Hi All,
I love using Avidemux,
I have a problem joining 2 pieces of video together from the same source.
I get the dialog box stating it can't be done and how to do a work around.
Screen shot of dialog box is included with this post,
I find it easier to use another program to do the joining which is a shame.
Is there any chance in future development of Avidemux this will be sorted out/ added?

No offense taken, please use whatever tool suits your needs best. I don't think that Avidemux should try to guess a suitable solution for the case of mismatching dimensions.
