2.8.1 does not open audio files in Ubuntu 24.04

Hi,

I get the message demuxer not foung if I try to open or add any audio file. Is there some package missing?

Please help!

edit: I just installed avidemux on an old win7 64-bit, the same version, 2.8.1. It is the same here!

Avidemux is not supposed to be able to load audio-only files via File -> Open. It can use raw audio streams (signed integer 16- and 24-bit wav, mp2, mp3, ac3, eac3, ADTS-encapsulated aac, but not audio-only MP4 containers) via Audio -> Select Track as an external audio track.

Please update to the latest 2.8.2 nightly, 2.8.1 release is extremely outdated (yes, there haven't been a release since, but a lot of bugfixes).
