Hi.

Have an W11 laptop and doesn't have admin privilegies, so using the installed version is not an option.
You cannot view this attachment.

I've using another computer for similar purpose, but having W10 - without any similar issues.

Attached the log file - are there a clear reason why this happens, and if so - can it help using a newer release of Avidemux - assume this is the most recent:

Thanks

The last stable 2.8.2 cross-compiled (and thus available as a ZIP archive) nightly build is from Dec 12 (r241212). You have picked on the contrary the oldest one.

The attached incomplete log doesn't contain any clues why the ancient 2.8.1 VC++ release build, likely obtained from third-party repackagers, crashed.

Ok, I tested the proposed r241212 release, and that one worked just good.

This log from the working r241212 release (just for comparison) on the same W11 computer.

Seems to be an issue with the forum regarding opening/savin attached txt files.

In Firefox I get this error message when attempting to open the text files (both threads):
Quote/home/keirg/Downloads/ld3XFMyU.txt.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administrator.

Because of the issues of viewing/downloading the attached text files, I put a code tag around the contents and post directly so to not get unavailable:

admlog.txt - from the old version of Avidemux that couldn't start
** No luck, there is a 20000 characters limit, so cannot include log files even if enclosed in code tags  ???

Ok, right-click and select Download in Firefox does work. Maybe this is a Firefox related issue ?

The workaround for this issue: set Firefox preference network.http.http2.enabled via about:config to false and restart the browser. Unfortunately, other web browsers don't seem to offer means to disable HTTP2.

The same old incomplete log file attached.

Thanks for noticing - fixed now.

Ok, so the issue is resolve - but I cannot see any way of adding [solved] in the topic, i.e. cannot edit the original thread - if I'm supposed to do that after issue gets resolved.

No problem with that, it is enough that I know that the issue doesn't exist with recent builds, thanks.
