Need to cut x264/x265 videos at exact point/time.

I'm new to this forum. I genuinely need your guidance on video trimming. Actually, I've been trying to trim a video, but it's either past or post the time stamp I want. Maybe it's taking frames and not time. Is it possible using Avidemux to crop at an exact time stamp?

I do hope you guys help me out, and pardon me for my poor English.

KC,

The only method I know is to upconvert a copy of your media to lossless / uncompressed.  Then edit from that copy.  Once everything looks good, then compress down to whatever quality and size, you prefer.

More ideal is to get the master uncompressed original and edit that so you don't lose a generation.

You have to change Video output from "Copy" to the preferred encoder to do frame accurate cuts/trims.
