Title: Copying some film gives black screen
Post by: Hipper on March 08, 2012, 10:09:59 AM
I have Avidemux 2.5.6 on Windows 7 (64).

With some .avi film when I use 'copy', the result is a film that shows only a black screen. I then, instead of using 'copy, convert (to MPEG 4) and the picture is there. It is not a big problem, just an irritation.

From the information Avidemux gives, DIVX, XVID work OK, AVC! does not work and H264 both works with some films and does not with others.

Is there a simple solution?

Hello Jan, thanks for advice.

I tried Avidemux 2.6. In fact this won't even load the film properly so I can't work with it. In 2.5.6 it loads the film and I can trim it for example.

As I said, it is not a big problem but it seems odd.

What player you used for viewing of the copied videos?
