Post by: powerhd on March 10, 2012, 04:50:45 PM
My problem is same to the post ->http://www.avidemux.org/smf/index.php?topic=7212.msg41064#msg41064
And my ass files(karaoke subtitle) are even more bigger than his. Althougn avidemux(r7699) is able to use the slider to preview, but it ofen crashes when it is encoding. Is there any way to solve the problem?

Crashes usually require bug fixing. One thing you can do is to use AVIsynth input with ASS/SSA subtitles.

http://www.avidemux.org/admWiki/doku.php?id=tutorial:create_video_from_still_image_and_from_audio_file#part_1_open_avsproxy
for AVIsynth opening in AVIdemux.

For subtitles, if you DirectShowSource, the FFDshow or similar filter can inject the subtitle directly to the video. If you want manual way, use VSfilter.dll

Hopefully the ASS/SSA crash will be fixed one day.
