New Xvid settings?
« on: March 13, 2012, 04:17:51 PM »
Hi all.
I've tried to use r7745 (win32 version) as I've understood that 2.6 will support transport stream to program stream translation (for DVB material to be recoded into Xvid program files).
It seems that Xvid settings are changed a lot! Were are the complete set of tuning? Were is "Interlace" setting? Not ready yet or completely changed?
I hope not ready yet.

If copying content from MPEG-TS container to MKV container: Video: copy and Audio: copy, no encoding takes place and then you can't change the frame/picture content. Just cutting (blocks out at beginning, end or in between) @ key frames.

If changing/re-encoding Video content from inside MPEG-TS container (MPEG video or AVC) then the interlacing or other stuff is found/available in filters. Encoding parameters are then available in configure.

Hi.
Screenshots are better than words.
See what happens selecting the only Xvid video compressor available in 2.5.4 () and 2.6.0 (r7745).
Checking video encoders plugins I see a different list....
