1080p on youtube?
« on: April 19, 2012, 02:50:00 AM »
Hi guys, I'm rather new to avidemux as I've been using vdubmod for a VERY long time. I've just recently been getting back into competitive gaming, and I have been recording FRAPS videos on fraps Ver. 3.4.6 @ 1080 x 1920 res.

Of course as most of you know; these files become HUGE; which is why I am trying to use avidemux to bring that file down to a reasonable size while using the x264 codec to keep it "1080p" compliant.

I choose the "MP4 AVC (x264) codec with AAC sound codec @ 384kbps for stereo sound, but yet for some reason I still get only 480p.

can anyone help me out here?

Looks like you're resizing video from 1080 x 1920 to 704 × 480 or 640 × 480 (allowed sizes for 480p). If you want 1080(p/i) you have to keep 1080 x 1920 resolution.
