Avidemux has been accepted into Homebrew's main repo. It was a long haul, about 6 months of work, but I think it was worth it. Thanks to everyone who helped iron out the bugs. I've updated
the Howto, but essentially people who already have Homebrew running okay should be able to simply type
brew install qt
brew install --HEAD avidemux
and they will get a fast install of a precompiled Qt4 and the lastest svn version of 2.5.
If for some reason people would rather run the older 2.5.6 stable that is missing a few fixes, they can
brew install avidemux
Congratulations,
nibbles
