Hi,
I'm trying to consolidate my video library in a smaller number of modern formats.

I have a set of old video files from photo cameras. Most of them are AVI/MJPG/PCM. The frame rate is low, 15 frames, and the audio typically is mono 8 bit PCM.

Ideally I would like to convert them to MP4/AVC/AAC or MP4/XVID/MP3.

I'm having two issues in the conversion:
1. no way to convert the audio. I receive the message -> [Buildchain] encoder initialization failed. not activated, make sure number of channels and bitrate are compatible with encoder!
2. I can convert the video (separately) but the outcome has very bad quality, is fundamentally garbage.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Try 16 bit stereo at 44.1kHz and 96kbps (or less kbps) using AAC.

it works! thank you very much.
Btw, does anyone have experience converting MJPG to AVC or xvid? Most of my mjpg videos are low res (320x240) and low frame rate (15)?
