Jittery video after conversion

I have tried searching for threads on this but I haven't found anything relevant to my problem.

I am somewhat new to video editing/converting and have tried many other programs to convert videos (which ended up turning out poor quality or out of sync) and have just began using AVIDemux.

I have a video (an XVID filtered AVI with a resolution of 1280x720 - my external media player doesn't support this res - @32 frames per sec) which I resized using MRESIZE to change the resolution to 640x360 (using the same container, filter and FPS).

The problem I have is when the converted/resized video is played, it is very jittery, the video has not lost any quality and after close investigation, the audio seems to be in sync.

Can anybody help me with this as I am puzzled as to how to resolve the issue.

panic over, tried installing v2.6 and had no problems.
