Rotate filter results in blank video

I can successfully save a 3gp file to avi or mp4, however doing exact same thing and adding rotate filter creates a file with blank video (audio still there).  What am I doing wrong?  (OS is Windows 7, if that matters)

In avidemux 2.6 load 3gp video.
Select Video Output: codec like Mpeg4 ASP (xvid4)
Select in Filters:
  Transform-> Rotate, in Rotate select Angle: 90 degrees, should now be in Active Filters 90/180/270Ã,°
or
  OpenGL -> OpenGL Rotate -> set Ã,° (- 190Ã,° to 190Ã,°) if video card supports openGl and openGl support is Enabled in Preferences
Switch to Preview mode  to and play video to check result.
Select Output Format:
Save video if result is what you want.

I am attempting to rotate video in a *.MOV file by a custom angle (not a multiple of 90 degrees).  I am neither a programmer nor knowledgeable about OpenGL, although I am a reasonably competent and knowledgeable user of Windows-based computer hardware/software/systems and iOS devices (specifically iPhone) and apps, and have some familiarity with media file formats (encodings/containers).  Information posted to this topic motivated me to download Avidemux and attempt to use it for my purposes.  However, similar to the experience of Peter (http://avidemux.org/smuf/index.php?action=profile;u=1508) described in http://avidemux.org/smuf/index.php/topic,11666.msg62065.html#msg62065, in the 'Video Filter Manager' Window, I see no 'Available Filters' in the middle Window when I click on 'OpenGL', even after checking 'Enable openGl support' on the 'Display' tab of the 'Preferences' Window under the 'Edit' menu.  The dropbox value for the 'Video display' field was set to 'OpenGL (best)' by default; I did not change that value.

The *.MOV file is from an ~4-second video clip recorded on an iPhone 5S by the built-in Camera application/hardware.  My PC runs Windows 8.1; it is this computer onto which I have installed and am running Avidemux 2.6.7 (64-bit).  Here are some potentially-relevant hardware/driver parameters:

I've updated my NVIDEA driver to the current version (v332.21).

In viewing parameters related to both the on-board graphics processor and external NVIDEA GPU, I have consistently seen reference to "OpenCL" and only rarely to "OpenGL".  However, NVIDEA's specifications for the GT 630M (posted online) indicate that "Feature Support" includes "OpenGL 4.4", and Intel's corresponding specifications for the HD Graphics 4000 indicates that "All platforms with the following configurations are supported...OpenGL 4.0"

Have I provided enough information to determine whether or not my particular system -- as configured -- supports (or is capable of supporting/enabling) Open GL?  If so, what steps must I take to access OpenGL filters in Avidemux?
