Any particular reason Avidemux no longer offers a reverse filter?

The older versions greenscreen when I try to import my avchd files, and yet--while this format is supported on the newest version--the WHOLE reason I downloaded this software (i.e. the reverse filter) has inexplicably been removed.  Is there any sort of plugin or something of the sort that could help me out here?  thanks

It is not inexplicably removed. It is just not developed, don't even know if it will be easy/possible. Avidemux 2.5 (frame editor) branch works with real frames.  Avidemux 2.6 (time based editor) is working with virtual frames. Most of the filters are frame based operation, and probably you can not use these routines one on one in the 2.6 branch. What for us users looks very simple, isn't due to the new codecs. You simply don't have the existing frames to work with.
work arround:
- re-encode the avc encoded video to a format that can be handled by 2.5 branch
- reverse video in 2.5 branch
