I mainly use Sony Vegas Pro 12, but find ADM 2.6.10/2.6.11β handy for many things like creating small clips. My media sources are 1080p60 50Mbps MP4 & 1080p60 28Mbps AVCHD files, both from a Panasonic HC-V750 camcorder.   I've got no problems loading these files directly in Vegas.

I've noticed that if I load a standard MP4 from this camera into ADM, cut it (copying the video & audio) and mux it as either MP4 or MP4v2, Vegas won't load the new file.  The container is the problem, as the same streams bundled in a .AVI load fine.  "Corrupted or Unknown format": Sony playing silly buggers with what it will accept as an MP4?

I've found that, if I select the PSP output format option when selecting MP4 muxing, the files will load in Vegas. What change does the PSP option make to the MP4 container? MediaInfo shows a different Codec ID, but are there other differences?

This Panasonic camera also has a "iFrame" MP4 960x540 30p format. This MP4 will load fine in Vegas, either directly or after cutting in ADM. No need to select the PSP option for MP4 when saving.

Here is the container info from MediaInfo.  The original file is approx 11s, while the cut versions are approx 1s.  1/2/3/4 are:

    1. Original 50Mbps MP4
    2. After cutting in ADM - MP4 output format
    3. After cutting in ADM - PSP output format
    4. iFrame MP4 after cutting in ADM - MP4 output format
