How to pre-define the save filename from original name?

Assume I load an original video file foobar.mp4 into Avidemux.

Now I cut some parts and want to save the remaining stuff into a new MP4 file.

When I click now "Save" menu a filename save dialog appears where NO filename is preset (only .mp4).
Ok, I could always manually enter the new name.
But this is uncomfortable on the long run.

Can I now let Avidemux pre-set such a filename (for example: Same as input file + "_out" + .mp4)?

By the way: Assume I mark NO interval on the timeline and save the video files: Is then the whole video saved?
Or do I always have to manually mark the range which should be saved?

ADM has never had a specific auto file naming option.
Have a look at the phyton scripting that comes with ADM - lots of things are possible by creating custom scripts.

ADM will save whatever is left on the time line.
