Clipped a ton of footage today from .MOV quicktime to mp4

Probably 1/6th of them are without Length description

Anyone know what's up with that?

Jan Gruuthuse

No, how could we?
Your .mov: all from the same source with same recording parameters?
Batch processed with CLI or by GUI?

Can you upload a small sample without Length description? around 100 MB sizewise.

GUI.

I found that all of the files without Lengths as description were one's that had way higher bitrate
On those I did the following:
Video Output - copy
Audio Output - aac
mp4 muxer

From panasonic gh4 wav quicktime cinema 4k 24fps

used this site for clip which does not show "length":
https://we.tl/gKRRop17jL

BTW click and dragging to that site removed the file from my filesystem.. I had to redownload it from the site....

When playing this clip with vlc, it shows the time. As do Avidemux 2.6.18 and MediaInfo see this screenshot, areas marked redish.

Did I perhaps misunderstood you?

Weird? Browser/Operating system issue?
Never have this happening to me (Ubuntu 14.0/16.04 lts with firefow browser)

xodz

Yes. I am attaching screenshot so you can see no Length description...

Check properties for mp4 video file:
- showing duration in windows manager. Does it show a duration there?
- not showing duration in windows manager. Does it show a duration there?
Have you tried refresh view of folder showing mp4?
State your windows version?
