Hi
I installed avidemux 2.7.0 on Arch Linux, its GUI does not fit to my laptop screen. Also it's impossible to maximize the window.
See my attachment.

You could detach the toolbar. It should be possible to maximize the Avidemux window if it fits vertically. Frankly speaking, displays with less than 800px vertical space are going away.

or attach extra HD monitor/flatscreen TV  to your laptop.
Most laptops have external monitor output and this extends your desktop, most OS do support this.

I can maximize the window after disable main toolbar and selection.
I will receive a new 23 inches monitor this week, but I will use it with my desktop computer.
Would be nice if avidemux GUI fit to 1366x768 screens because lots of laptops have this resolution yet.
Thanks.

- Most monitors have extra/dual hdmi port
- Use old monitor for laptop if you can.

Avidemux with loaded video (720p): press [4] (zoom 1:4), avidemux canvas will reduce to 1/4th. 773x730 pixels is smallest  size.

My old monitor is 17 inches and its image is failing.
I will get rid of it.

Thanks for your tips.

The Avidemux window should occupy less space if you decrease the font size.
