hi, I cut several scenes from a movie, but when I save the result file I hear many audio clicks(I mean cracking or whatever is the name) where the video has been cut. any way to avoid that?

Does the problem persist with the latest nightly build (at the moment a MinGW one from Dec 17, 2020)?

MinGW: https://avidemux.org/nightly/win64/
VC++: https://avidemux.org/nightly/vsWin64/

Short portions of silence may occur at cut points when cutting in copy mode due to delay required by the structure of some video streams with B-frames. However, noises e.g. from damaged audio packets should not happen. If you experience the latter, please provide some information about the source video, like admlog.txt (located in %localappdata%\avidemux\) from starting Avidemux and loading that file.

here is the original file, the saved project, the edited file with audio crackling and the logfile.

I've tried to extract the audio from the video and I put it into audacity in order to generate silence over the spectrum view shows me there are crackles, unsuccessfully.

The samples were deleted before I could find time to look at them, but anyway, you really should update to the latest nightly first, report issues later.

Please post when you know for sure that the issue (beyond the inevitable gaps with B-frames / open GOP type streams) persists.
