Avidemux 2.8.1 cannot open video located on local network

Version 2.8.0 works well
version 2.8.1 can open files located on a local NAS if the share is mapped as a network drive.

version 2.8.1 can't open files located on local lan server.
Opening a \\server\share\folder shows this error:

Please verify that the issue persists with the latest available 2.8.2 nightly build.

If run in portable mode, admlog.txt might reside in the program directory, else in %localappdata%\avidemux. Anyway, 2.8.1 is ancient despite being the last published release.
