Hi,

I use avidemux for converting videos to my Nokia c2 03 mobile. I find it very difficult to select the combination which will be played on my mobile. Most of the time I get message that audio video combination I selected is not compatible.

Why not show only those audio codecs for which selected video codec is compatible. That will surely save loads of time. Also well knows presets which are known to work will be welcome addon.

You're right. XMedia Recode has this presets (there called profiles).

Probably both? When container selected show/allow only appropriate allowed/recommended video encoding and audio encoding. Or extend encoding to target like done in Menu: Auto: DVD, VCD, ....
Perhaps extending this to
Media:  - Dvd
        - VCD
Device: - Mediaplayer:
             - MKV
        - Mobile:
             - Android
        - Tablet
kinda like the icing on the cake?
