How to cut slivers of video off

After recording my video I realized I had small slivers of my desktop appearing on either side of the main content in the video. Is there a way I can cut those pieces off so only my video appears and nothing else? Can I zoom it in slightly or something?

With loaded video and you need to re-encode, 2 possibilities: crop or add black borders. You find these 2 under Video Output: Filters: Video filter Manager: Transform.
With preview you should be able to decide what works best.
