No audio/sound with Avidemux

Hi guys,

I'm trying to cut a video file but avidemux 2.6.3 for Mac (10.8.3 Mountain Lion) doesn't play the sound when I import the file and when I export the cut file sound doesn't play either.

Here is the codec information:

Video:
H264-MPEG-4 AVC (avc1)

Audio:
A52 Audio (aka AC3) (a52)

I noticed on another thread that I should check preferences-audio and select another device other than 'dummy' but nothing else is selectable.

Can anyone help please?
