I got an other (quite big) problem :

function "copy" doesn't always work (to be exact, I only have one video to test, and the copy function works perfectly well in 2.5.6 version ; not in 2.6.4). Is it possible to change that ?

I got the message :

"Oops
This function is disabled or no longer valid"

Have you this problem phaolo ?

Yes, I've tested it now in 2.6.4 with 2 random videos: "copy\paste" caused your same errors, but "cut" still works.

Yes indeed it does.

However, for my purpose, copy may be very important in the future !  :(

Copy is frame editing = avidemux 2.5.6. 2.6 branch is not a frame editor.

It needs to be updated to work, remind me in a couple of weeks if not done

Yep, I didn't say that "cut only" was ok ;)

Err.. I'm a noob for video specs, but isn't "copy data from frame xxx to yyy" same as "copy data from time mm1:ss1 to mm2:ss2"?

perfect, but do you.. mean you are going to release a 2.6.5 or we'll have to test beta builds?

Should be but 2.6.4 is not working with frames, the frames are virtual.

But as developer states:

When the audio device is set to AlsaDefault, whenever I play a video, when the video stops playing Avidemux crashes (when that happens the command line reads "[AudioDeviceThreaded] Exiting loop". It doesn't happen with AlsaHw0 or OSS, but then another program can't play sound. I don't have pulseaudio.

Jan Gruuthuse

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS as installed:
- Sound setting: analog output
- Avidemux: preferences
- Local playback downmixing: Stereo
- AudioDevice: AlsaDefault

System Sound:

following Synaptic Package Manager: Alsa & Pulse installed

Installed alsa:

Installed pulse:

you could need to install pavu form software center (PulseAudio Volume control)

Magnusmaster: Sounds very like the issue I had! See reply #13 earlier in this thread.

My system is Slackware 14 (64-bit) and I don't use pulseaudio either. However, setting Avidemux to a specific alsa device hasn't affected any of my other programs.

QuoteMaybe I've found another bug while shifting ac3 audio tracks in an .avi file.
If I do +1000 or -1000 the output file always seems -1000 !? Damn I went crazy on that  :o

Hey, has anyone verified this problem too?

phaolo

Hello,
can you please tell me some news (if any) about the previous bugs?
Are those going to be fixed in a nightly build only?
