Problem inserting logo onto video.

I am trying to insert a simple logo (just a short note I prepared in Adobe Illustrator) onto a video (.MOV or .mp4 have tried both).  Everytime I try the logo is completely scrambled.  I have tried .jpeg .bmp and .png and none have worked.  Do I need to make the logo in a different program or am I doing something incorrectly.  I am completely new to avidemux.

What filters do you use and in which order?

The logo filter (under the "transform" menu) is the only one I am using in this run.
