You did not provide us with video sample with this audio issue?

Unable to upload due to copyright issues.

I prepared a mono track video, can you test this and let us know how it went?
monotest.mkv 5.3 Mb @ top right hand corner click download.

Not sure if I'm doing this correctly, what is monotest.mkv testing for?

I still think the OP should select the 3 channel mixer option and see if it produced a result.

Didn't see an option for the 3 channel mixer in audio filters/configure?(Avidemux 2.6.7)

Also the OP needs to select an audio recode option (in case its left at copy!).

It does work if you try.

Yep tried both AAC(Faac) and AAC(lav) etc..., for the audio output.

If it's of any help, here is the file info:

Upload a similar video with the audio issue and without copyright issues .

It's a small video with mono audio track, what speaker(s) do produce sound?

ps:- Use a free dropbox account, mega or similar webservice (free public access, without registration to download your uploaded video) thank you.[/quote]

AQUAR

3 channel = remix box is ticked and mixer set to stereo + centre.

I only have one video file with an audio issue.

Both the left and right speakers produce sound for the monotest video.

Yep, tried that option along with the other remix options with no luck.

Question about Avidemux:

In the media player I'm currently using(PotPlayer formaly known as KMPlayer), I found a option called "Swap Stereo Channels" which when clicked(for this video) switches the sound from the left speaker to the right speaker.

What I'm wondering is, is it possible(with Avidemux) to record the audio from the left speaker, switch the sound to the other speaker(with PotPlayer), record the audio from that speaker, and then somehow combine the two tracks into one track and then add the final combined audio track to the video?

Seems like you have stereo track with audio on one channel only?

quick fix:
load video and save video with mono track, close video
load video with mono track and save video with stereo track

1) Load original video
Keep Output Format same as original video, with
Video Output:
[copy]

Audio Output
[AAC (lav)]
Filters -> Mixer:
[v] Remix
Mixer [Mono]

save video now as "mono" and close loaded video
--------------------------------------------------------

2)  Load saved video "mono"
Video Output:
[copy]

Audio Output
[AAC (lav)]
Filters -> Mixer:
[v] Remix
Mixer [Stereo]

save video now as "stereo" and close loaded video
--------------------------------------------------------

you should now have video "stereo" with stereo track and audio on 2 channels (still mono)

That worked. Appreciate the organized instructions as well. The video is now producing sound from both speakers.
Thanks Jan. And thanks to AQUAR for the additional helpful info.

I think xpmule also contributed to the eventual solution.
