Output Format defaults to AVI Muxer

Sometimes i cut some videos recored with GoPro Hero 2 camera.
They seem to be in MP4 container format so i guess i have to select MP4 Muxer in Output Format right?

But it seems it defaults to AVI Muxer and i seem to have to select it ever time i start Avidemux.
Could the Output Format not automatically be selected by analyzing the file so is selects the same as the input file?

So if i load a video that uses MP4 container format would it not be a good idea for MP4 Muxer to be selected automatic?

Or else have Avidemux remember the option so i don't have to select MP4 Muxer everytime i start Avidemux?

Try a nightly, then edit->save current settings as default

If i set my computer or TV volume to 50% and then turn them off and on again they remember the setting.
Maybe this would be better to just remember the settings the user have selected without having to select save settings as default each time.
