Good day I want to add some subtitles and then stick them to a movie in mkv format but it gives me an error

Does it mean that the subtitles plugin in an earlier build accepts this file while the last one rejects it?

I've tried the subtitles plugin in both 200611 nightlies for Windows and it is functional.
