How do you add things to and use a Joblist?

The instructions here don't seem to work anymore (the option "File→Add to Joblist..." seems to have disappeared for one thing).  I installed the version I'm using from Avidemux 2.8.1 Qt6 220209-08h29m_588c8f3e649.dmg (a nightly build, I think).

If I "Show package contents" for the app I see that under "Contents→MacOS" there is a file called avidemux_jobs and if I double click on it it brings up a terminal window which in turn brings up window that I assume is the job list but I still cannot see any way to add a job to the list.  I tried dragging and dropping a project file and that did not work.  I tried right clicking on it to see if there was a way to add a project but there wasn't.  There is a checkbox at the bottom, something about QT but I have no idea whether that should be checked or not so I just left it at the default.  Anyway, I am stumped - how do you add a job to that window? And also, how do you specify the desired output filename, since that doesn't seem to be something that can be included in a project file?

I'm running MacOS 10.15.7 if that makes any difference.

Probably a decade or more ago. Please just ignore the obsolete Wiki for now and for near future.

Open the Terminal first, then run

/Applications/Avidemux_2.8.1.app/Contents/MacOS/avidemux_jobs

In Avidemux with a video loaded and all editing steps already performed, press COMMAND+U or File --> Queue.

When checked, it makes the Jobs control launch the graphical application instead of the CLI one to execute the queued jobs, necessary when features are used which are present only in the graphical app like OpenGL filters or HW encoders (the latter at least on Linux).
